Tags: branch library, button maker, Jamed Button Maker, metal disc, mylar paper

Hi I sent a button maker to a branch library. They were to get the instructions the same day with button parts. Unfortunately one of the staff began using it without looking at any instructions, DVD or written. He placed a mylar, paper then the shell upside down into the bottom one of the turntables and turned it and yes, crunched it down. The disc is now jammed up into the press. Do you have any suggestions as to how we can remove the crimped metal disc from the underside of the press? There is nothing to grip, or pry from as it is smoothly crushed into the press. We have a 2.25 inch machine, code 297, purchased in 2009.

Fabric buttons: Mylar or no mylar?

Hi All! I am about to purchase a fabric button maker, and wondering for those of you that have one, did you get your machine calibrated for use with mylar? If so… have you used it without mylar (maybe by adding interfacing behind the fabric)? What were your results?

I’m having a tough time deciding whether I want to calibrate the machine for mylar or not. Thanks for your help!

Tags: badge a mint, , button maker, cast iron,

Hi all, I have an old button maker( at least 10 years old) with no name on it. I can’t remember where I got it.It’s all black cast iron. It has a top die, ring die, crimping die and a base die. on the base it has 2 1/3 stamped on it. I think it might be a badge a mint but not sure. I want to make some badges for Easter but I don’t know what size shell, mylar or back to order. If someone can help me that would be great.

I see a lot of posts about fabric buttons. I’ve never tried to make fabric buttons, but I’m getting interested. Can you list some of the items that is good for fabric buttons? I have a 2.25″ button maker.

Another question…Would you really want/need to put the mylar over the fabric? Wouldn’t it look nice to have the fabric only sow and not be all glossy?

Additional information would be great. :)

I am interested in button making, but I do not have a button maker machine. Do all of your button supplies need a button maker to make a pinback button?

Hello ABM, I see a lot of button makers on your website. Can I ask what makes your button machines better or any different than the others I see on the internet for button making?

    Beginner Systems and Professional Kits

Hi!  I was just perusing your website and had a quick question regarding your beginner button systems and the professional button maker kits.  What is the difference between them?  It appears as if it has to do with the circle cutters, but I want to make sure I am understanding the pictures correctly.

    thanks!
